Connect Notion to Rovo

Make your Notion pages searchable alongside your company knowledge.

What is indexed?

The Notion connector indexes these objects:

• Pages

• Name

• URL

• Created date

• Last updated date

• Creator

• Collaborators

• Document body

Before you begin

• All of Notion’s plans are supported by Rovo, including the free tier.

• Rovo can only connect to one workspace in Notion.

• Rovo will always respect permissions. Users will only ever see pages that they already have access to.

Connecting to Notion

To get to the setup screen for Notion:

1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

2. Select Settings > Rovo.

3. Under Sites, next to the site you want to connect, select Add connector.

4. Select Notion and press Next.

Next, to configure Notion:

1. Enter a name for your Notion connection.

2. Review the disclaimer.

3. Select Authorize Notion.

4. A new tab will open to step you through Notion authorization. You can change the workspace in the top right, if you have more than one. Rovo can only connect to a single workspace.

5. Pick Select pages, and then select all pages and teamspaces you’d like Rovo to have access to.

6. Step through the Notion authorization flow to allow access. Review and accept the permissions to connect. Select Allow.

Next steps

After you’ve finished connecting Notion:

1. Pages will start to show in Search incrementally over the next few hours.

2. Your team members will see Notion show up as a filter option in Search. If they haven’t connected to Notion from their Atlassian account, they may be asked to connect before they can see results. They’ll be asked (similarly to step 5, above) to select all pages and teamspaces they’d like Rovo to have access to.

3. Depending on the number of files in Notion, it may take some time for all your files to be indexed and appear in Search.
